Samuel Jason Black and Jack Black
Samuel Jason Black’s connection with Jack Black is the main reason he first became known to the public. Jack Black has frequently spoken about his children and has occasionally included them in his entertainment activities.
The father-son relationship became especially visible through public appearances and digital content. Samuel accompanied Jack Black to the Kung Fu Panda 3 premiere in 2016, when Samuel was nine years old.
He later appeared with his father in online entertainment projects, including Jablinski Games. The series, launched in 2018, combined gaming, comedy and vlog-style material. Samuel became part of the production and cast, with credits that include editing and directing in addition to appearing on the program.
This makes Samuel’s connection with Jack Black more than simply a family relationship. His documented work shows that he has had hands-on experience with digital production.
What Is Samuel Jason Black’s Career?
Samuel Jason Black has documented experience as an editor, director, camera-related crew member and performer. His entertainment credits demonstrate involvement both in front of and behind the camera.
His first widely documented screen-related credit came when he was still a child. He provided the voice for a Rabbit Villager in Kung Fu Panda 3, the 2016 animated film in which his father voiced Po.
Later, Samuel became involved with Jablinski Games. His credits on the series include editing 17 episodes, directing some episodes and working in the camera and electrical department. He was also credited as himself in numerous episodes.
These credits suggest that his interests have extended beyond traditional acting. His work with digital video production gave him an opportunity to learn several aspects of creating entertainment content.
What Movies or Shows Has Samuel Jason Black Worked On?
Samuel Jason Black has a relatively small but notable list of publicly documented entertainment credits.
| Project | Year | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Kung Fu Panda 3 | 2016 | Rabbit Villager, voice |
| Markiplier – Five Nights at Freddy’s | 2015 | Himself |
| Jablinski Games | 2018–2022 | Himself, editor and production roles |
His role in Kung Fu Panda 3 was a minor voice performance rather than a leading role. The film’s credits identify Samuel Black as the voice of Rabbit Villager.
He also appeared with Jack Black and YouTube creator Markiplier in a 2015 Five Nights at Freddy’s video. The episode featured Jack Black playing the game with his son while promoting Goosebumps.
His most substantial documented involvement came through Jablinski Games, where he contributed both creatively and technically.
Samuel Jason Black’s Role in Jablinski Games
Jablinski Games is one of the most significant projects connected to Samuel Jason Black’s public career. The series centered on Jack Black and combined gaming with comedy and vlog-style entertainment. It premiered online in December 2018.
Samuel was involved in the project from its early period. Production credits list him as an editor for 17 episodes, a director for multiple episodes and a camera and electrical department contributor for several episodes.
He was also credited as himself in 63 episodes between 2019 and 2020. His younger brother Thomas appeared in the series as well.
The project is therefore an important part of Samuel’s biography because it shows practical experience in digital entertainment rather than simply an appearance as a celebrity’s child.
Did Samuel Jason Black Act in Kung Fu Panda 3?
Yes. Samuel Jason Black is credited as the voice of Rabbit Villager in Kung Fu Panda 3, which was released in 2016.
The film was particularly notable for Samuel because his father, Jack Black, was already an established part of the franchise as the voice of Po. Samuel’s role was a small supporting voice part, so it would be inaccurate to describe Kung Fu Panda 3 as his starring debut.
Nevertheless, the credit is one of the clearest examples of Samuel participating professionally in a major Hollywood production.
What Is Known About Samuel Jason Black’s Education?
Detailed information about Samuel Jason Black’s education has not been reliably documented in authoritative public sources.
Some online biographies have made claims about specific schools or educational backgrounds, but those details are not sufficiently established to present as confirmed facts. Because Samuel spent much of his childhood outside the center of the entertainment spotlight, information about his private education has remained limited.
It is therefore more accurate to focus on his verified entertainment credits rather than repeat uncertain claims about his schooling.
Is Samuel Jason Black an Actor?
Samuel Jason Black has worked as a performer, but his documented career is broader than acting alone.
His voice credit in Kung Fu Panda 3 establishes an acting-related role, while his appearance in Markiplier – Five Nights at Freddy’s and Jablinski Games demonstrates his participation in online entertainment. At the same time, his IMDb credits identify him as an editor and director, and Jablinski Games credits confirm those production responsibilities.
For that reason, describing him simply as an actor does not fully represent his documented work.
Is Samuel Jason Black a Musician?
Samuel grew up surrounded by music because both sides of his family have strong musical connections. His father is a musician as well as an actor and comedian, while his mother Tanya Haden is a professional musician.
However, reliable public records do not establish a substantial independent music career for Samuel comparable to his father’s work with Tenacious D or his mother’s professional musical career.
It is therefore better to describe music as part of his family background rather than claim that he has an established professional music career without stronger evidence.
Does Samuel Jason Black Have a Wife or Partner?
There is no reliably documented public information establishing that Samuel Jason Black is married or identifying a current spouse or long-term partner.
Samuel has generally maintained a relatively private personal life, and publicly available information focuses primarily on his family background and entertainment work. Claims about a private relationship should not be treated as confirmed unless supported by reliable evidence.
Does Samuel Jason Black Have Children?
There is no reliable public information confirming that Samuel Jason Black has children.
At 20 years old in 2026, he is still relatively young, and his personal life has not been extensively documented by major entertainment publications. His known family relationship is primarily his position as Jack Black and Tanya Haden’s eldest son and the older brother of Thomas David Black.
What Is Samuel Jason Black’s Net Worth?
Samuel Jason Black’s exact net worth has not been publicly confirmed.
Although he has received entertainment credits, there is no reliable public financial record establishing his personal earnings or assets. Online estimates that assign a specific dollar amount should therefore not be treated as verified.
His father’s substantial Hollywood career should also not be confused with Samuel’s personal finances. Jack Black’s earnings and Samuel’s net worth are separate matters.
Samuel Jason Black’s Life in the Public Eye
Samuel’s public profile has largely developed through his family and occasional entertainment appearances rather than through a continuous celebrity career.
As a child, he appeared with his father at major events, including the Kung Fu Panda 3 premiere. He later became visible through Jablinski Games, where he had a more active creative role.
This progression gives his story a different shape from that of a conventional child actor. Instead of building a large acting résumé during childhood, he gained exposure to several areas of entertainment production.
Where Is Samuel Jason Black Now?
As of 2026, Samuel Jason Black is 20 years old. Publicly available information does not provide enough reliable evidence to describe a specific current employer, residence, education program or full-time profession.
His documented entertainment work remains the clearest indication of his interests. His credits demonstrate experience in editing, directing, camera work and performance, particularly through Jablinski Games.
Because he has maintained a relatively private life, it is more responsible to avoid speculation about what he is doing privately or what career he will pursue next.
Why Do People Search for Samuel Jason Black?
People primarily search for Samuel Jason Black because he is the eldest son of Jack Black and Tanya Haden. His connection to a famous Hollywood actor naturally generates interest in his age, family background and personal life.
Search interest is also connected to Samuel’s own entertainment credits. His role in Kung Fu Panda 3, appearances with Jack Black and production work on Jablinski Games give him a public history beyond being a celebrity’s child.
As he moves through adulthood, interest in Samuel is likely to remain connected to whether he continues working in entertainment or chooses a different professional direction.
